1. Troubleshoot sound problems
- Right click on speaker icon, then click Troubleshoot sound problems.
- Wait when detecting problems.
- Follow instruction.
- Play test sounds.
- After done, try your sound/audio/headphones.
2. Troubleshoot Playing Audio
- Press Windows key + I.
- Click Update & security.
- Click Troubleshoot > Playing Audio > Run Troubleshooter.
- Follow instructions.
- After done, try your sound/audio/headphones.
3. Set Headphones as Default Device
- Search Control Panel then click it.
- Click Hardware and Sound.
- Click Sound.
- Click Headphones and click Set default button at the bottom. Note: In some cases, there is no headphone option alone but Speakers/Headphone. If that’s your case, select that and click Set default button at the bottom.
- Click OK.
4. Change the Settings in Realtek HD Audio Manager
- Open control panel.
- View Large icons then click Realtek HD Audio Manager.
- Click on small folder icon in upper right corner.
- Tick the box next to Disable front panel jack detection then OK.
5. Update Realtek Manager
- Search Device Manager.
- Click Audio inputs and outputs.
- Right click on Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) > Update driver.
- Click Search automatically update driver software.
