MsMpEng.exe Antimalware Service Executable Windows 10 100% Disk is needed when your PC get high disk usage. The name of the process MsMpEng (MsMpEng.exe) used by the Windows Defender program. Or, open Windows Defender Security Center > Virus & threat protection > Advanced scan Custom scan > Scan now, and then select the file or folder that you want.

To turn on Windows Defender Antivirus, go to Settings  > Update & security > Windows Defender > turn on Real-time protection. Windows Defender Antivirus will then automatically turn on. If you’re running Windows 10 for Enterprise, turn on Windows Defender Antivirus by uninstalling all of your existing antivirus programs.

If you’re using another antivirus program, you can turn on Limited Periodic Scanning. Select the Start button, then select Windows Defender Security Center > Virus & threat protection > Windows Defender Antivirus options, and then turn on Limited Periodic Scanning. Using Limited Periodic Scanning does not turn on the real-time protection feature of Windows Defender Antivirus, nor is it a replacement for your antivirus program.

2. Disable Windows Defender in Windows 10

In many cases Windows Defender will automatically be non-active once you install third-party antivirus, and this applies to the majority of popular antivirus. So you don’t need to confuse how to disable Windows Defender because this antivirus automatically “off” when you install other antivirus.

If Windows Defender can not switch off automatically, then you can disable it manually. First open Windows Defender > on the Settings tab select the Administrator menu > in the right panel uncheck the Turn on this App.

After it click Save changes. After Windows Defender successfully to Disable, you can install  Anti Virus other third party.
